Why You Shouldn’t Buy the iPod Touch Right Now

There is a chance that the iPod touch 6th generation release date is coming in the very near future as part of the announcements taking place during a special event on September 9th.

We already shared the reasons we think we’ll see an iPod touch 6th generation announced at the iPhone 6 and iOS 8 event, and if you are thinking of buying an iPod touch there are several other reasons you should wait as well.

The iPod touch 6th generation is a new iPod that users hope for every time Apple plans an announcement over the last year or so. Apple announced the current version at the same time as the iPhone 5, two years ago, making it one of the older apple products on sale at this time.

You shouldn't buy the iPod touch right now.

With rumors pointing to a new iPhone 6 design and a bigger iPhone 6 screen there is a chance that Apple plans to announce a new iPod touch with a faster processor and a bigger display for this holiday shopping season.

So far there are no good leaks and analyst commentary is bleak, suggesting Apple plans to push the iPod touch to the side to focus on an iWatch, but there is still a chance that Apple plans to show us a new model.

It makes no sense to [easyazon_link asin=”B00LG71NZ2″ locale=”US” new_window=”default” nofollow=”default” tag=”gbm-ea-20″ add_to_cart=”default” cloaking=”default” localization=”default” popups=”default”]buy an iPod touch[/easyazon_link] in September unless the new iPod touch 6th generation release arrives later this month.

The current device is old, but it still gets iOS 8 which is a sign that Apple is not done with the iPod just yet. Over the last year Apple changed some options and the price to offer a more affordable iPod touch, but stopped short of actually announcing the new iPod touch 6th generation that some of our readers have been looking for since January.

We could finally learn about the iPod Touch 6th generation release date.

We could finally learn about the iPod Touch 6th generation release date.

Even if there is no iPod touch 6th generation release date announced at the Apple Event tomorrow it’s still a bad time to buy a new iPod touch.

During November we will see the lowest iPod prices of the year as every retailer gets in on the plan to offer a Black Friday deal. These deals often add gift card to the store or to the iTunes store on top of small savings that add up to the best iPod touch deals of the year.

If there is a new iPod touch 6th generation release you can count on a few deals, but even bigger savings on the older iPod tough 5th generation that is on sale right now. Retailers always offer the older iPod as a doorbuster on Black Friday, and you can often find the deals online.

Even if there is no new iPod touch tomorrow, you can look forward to crazy Black Friday iPod touch deals in November.

Even if there is no new iPod touch tomorrow, you can look forward to crazy Black Friday iPod touch deals in November.

Even if you want the current iPod touch it’s close enough to Black Friday that you should start waiting for iPod touch deals before buying.

There is no promise that there is a new iPod touch 6th generation release planned for this fall, and no leaked parts like we see for the iPhone and iWatch, but it is certainly time for a new model to arrive and there is no sense in buying the iPod touch 5th generation for the next two months unless you score a huge deal and are ok with old technology.

Yeah surprisingly so. “Well who knows but maybe so don’t buy cuz it’s old”

I think everyone gets that crap goes on sale. Black Friday deals often suck btw

But the main point is someone shopping a touch now prob has some need for it. Sure if the new one were truly imminent that would be useful, but all signs are pointing to a new one not being on the radar at all and apple certainly had zip to say at the announcement

“Well maybe it will still happen and anyway current one is old and will get cheaper” isn’t article worthy advice

And if there really is no gen 6 coming there is no real need for big sales on the 5
