Win a SCOTTEVEST Fleece 7.0

Published

on

SCOTTEVEST clothing makes it possible to carry all your gadgets without looking like a walking Best Buy, and now you have a chance to with the latest SCOTTEVEST Fleece 7.0 by telling us what you would put in your new SCOTTEVEST.

The Gotta Be Mobile team used SCOTTEVEST gear to cover CES 2013, keeping our essential gear within reach during the show and while traveling to and from Las Vegas.

The entire team was decked out in SCOTTEVEST Fleece 7.0 jackets which provide fast access to cameras, batteries and the ability to route cords for headphones and mobile chargers. One of the best parts about the new Fleece 7.0 is the redesigned pocket, that places your iPhone or Android in a clear, touch-friendly pouch in the left pocket. From here it’s possible to plug-in headphones to make and take calls while the phone is stowed, and it’s easy to use the phone for quick messages. Much more convenient than keeping it in a pants pocket while on a bus, in a cab or while flying.

Check out the video below to see What’s in my SCOTTEVEST at CES 2013.

Another essential piece of gear is the SCOTTEVEST Q-Zip a performance shirt that includes three pockets and the ability to run a pair of headphones up to your ears without leaving a wire dangling.

The Q-zip is great for carrying a wallet and a phone while running around town so you don’t need to keep a phone or wallet in gym shorts where it could easily fall out.

Perhaps the most practical SCOTTEVEST item is the SCOTTEVEST sport coat. This nice looking sport coat makes it possible to carry a lot of gear when a backpack won’t fit in.

Gotta Be Mobile Publisher Xavier Lanier, wore this on stage to present to Lenovo Executives and to meet Jerry Rice while carrying a plethora of gadgets. Check it out below.

I like taking the sleeves off the vest and taking all my gadgets with me, eliminating the carry on bag all together.

The more pockets, the better! I’d be toting my phone, iPod, headphones, pen, paper, keys, ID, wallet, handwipes, chapstick… anything and everything I can cram in there.

Well, I’m a programmer by night and a paintball ref by day, and I love snowboarding.

So I would likely have my phone and earbuds hooked up (android phone). In the lower pockets, I’d have my car keys clipped in (like I do in my SEV pullover) and if at the slopes, my locker key. I’d of course have my zippo handwarmer in one of the handwarmer pockets, may need to pick up a second. And a small nalgene to drink some water when I don’t have my pack on with my camelback.

I would probably have my regular glasses or my Gunnar computer glasses in the eye glass pocket. I never leave without a couple of zebra ballpoints, so those pockets would be filled. I could probably put my HuMn wallet in the ID pouch, haven’t tried yet.

Thats probably all I’d have in there. If I was going hiking, I’d consider routing a micro-USV cord through the PAN to my back mounted solar panel so I could charge my phone during the day while listening to music. Then store it in the lumbar pouch.

I carry way too much stuff……

iPad, Droid, Goal-0 solar charger with battery brick, noise-canceling headphones, duck tape, a triangle bandage, fire escape hood, head lamp, some flint and my ham radio — just in case my flight NEVER arrives.

For air travel the pockets would be a great place to store all the items I want easy access to (magazine, snacks, iPad, passport, glasses) and a safe place to store the contents of my pockets before going through security.

Small Bible, Canon camera, MacBook maybe?, minirecorder, Moleskine, large collection of pens and pencils, passport, document pack, my little book CHOOSE!, travel-pack tissues, Kindle reader, pocket watch, airline e-ticket to see the new grandbaby, pen drive, Brad Thor novel, 4×6 cards for writing ideas and notes.

I would use the scottevest to carry my ipad with my every where, as the company took away my blackberry and gave me a 10″ iPad. I also have phones, etc and it would be useful to just take off my scottevest and not have to pack everything up when going through the airport scanners several times a week.
