Windows 7 UI Picked Apart on Video
They guys over at Engadget have their hands on a Samsung reference device running Windows Phone 7 and put together a very nice preview video. Microsoft is playing catch up with Windows Phone 7 and it’ll be very interesting to see if consumers actually end up buying Microsoft-powered phones when they’re released later this year.
Microsoft has clearly put in a ton of effort to make the UI unique and usable. The touch interface looks great and I can’t wait to try out one of these things myself. However, at this point I wouldn’t consider replacing my iPhone 4 with a Windows Phone 7 device. At this point, an Android device of some kind is far above a Windows 7 Phone on my want list.

Nice and thorough review. I just finished reading another review of this OS which implied (oh, let’s be honest, they came right out and said it) that it couldn’t multi-task. Nice to see that isn’t the case. Eager to see how this ends up at market.
