Microsoft hopes that you’ll download games from the Windows Store, but its selection is limited. Outside of Xbox games that you can play on an Xbox One, there’s not much there for serious gamers. It’s up to you whether you spend money on PC games there. Many of its games have a cover charge, but there are some that are free-to-play, just like games on your iPhone or iPad. If you’d like to play games published by Ubisoft or Electronic Arts, try downloading Origin. All Origin’s games aren’t free, but the company does offer a free title every month.
