United Offers iPhone/iPod Touch Users an InFlight Hookup

You may have to pay extra for that first bag you’re carrying on United Airlines (and other carriers) this summer and beyond, but if you’re toting an iPhone or iPod Touch you can plug in to the in-flight entertainment system.

You’ll be able to watch videos on the 15.4 inch screen available at your seat. This looks like it will roll out for trans-Atlantic travelers first. No cost to do this mentioned in the article, but the way airlines are pinching pennies these days, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a cost attached to this.

Given the spate of crazy lawsuits and the like from media companies these days I look for those same media companies to complain and say that the airlines owe them money given that I’m sure your seat mate can watch along.
