Circuit City Files for Bankruptcy

Warner Crocker —  11/10/2008

The woes continue for Circuit City. After planning to close 155 stores and firing 20% of their workforce in recent moves to keep alive, they have just filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in Richmond, VA. No word on what this all means going forward, obviously, but it doesn’t look like good times ahead.

  1. I hope Circuit City will find a way to stay afloat. I often get better deals there than at Best Buy.
