CES 2009 Adventures With Lenovo’s X200T – Preshow Madness

IMG_1656From a minimalist’s point of view, I am really digging the Lenovo X200T for CES coverage. In my previous life as a photojournalist, I always had to find the balance between carrying enough gear to meet any unforeseen roadblocks and carrying redundant and unnecessary weight. Challenges that I faced as a photographer are the same challenges I face now as a blogger at CES 2009: what should I carry to maximize productivity while minimizing the burden of carrying unnecessary gear? The T2010 now sits alone in the hotel room as I traverse CES with just the X200T. While out on the showroom floor or within the confines of the Venetian, wi-fi access is plentiful and usually pretty reliable. In the hotel room, however, internet access costs $15 per day per computer. Luckily, I was able to easily tether the X200T to my T-Mo Wing via Bluetooth, allowing passibly usable internet access for last night’s blogging. The keyboard comfort on the X200T is proving to be quite useful in expediting blogs. Blogging a lot means typing a lot, and the superior keyboard of the X200T makes typing a joy, rather than a chore.
