Best Buy Drops Palm Pre Price to $99?

From the looks of it this might be real. Folks are spotting info that Best Buy has dropped the price of the Palm Pre to $99 with a two year contract. Competition. Isn’t it a wonderful thing.

UPDATE: Turns out this was, er, um, er… a mistake by Best Buy. Apparently some folks did manage to make a purchase at the $99 price before the mistake was corrected.

Ah, for a second there I thought it was $99 without a contract. What a silly thing to assume, since it requires a network to connect to. :P
