The Truth Behind Cloud Computing…

Posted by | 08/19/2009 | 4 Comments

Ever since my short stint at Salesforce.com I’ve had trouble explaining how SAS or cloud computing works to non-techies. I really like this video from Evernote because it’s not about servers, platforms and applications. It’s about the benefits of their service and just about anyone can understand it.

Apparently elephants do all the grunt work at Evernote.

Hey, isn’t the narrator the same one who told the story about Mr. Frustrato at Foldera?

Excellent little video, and the “Actual Evernote Process” was pretty funny.

I would just like it if Evernote had:

-a Windows Mobile client that does NOT expect a constant Internet connection, and just syncs changes when there is one (I still use a completely phoneless HP iPAQ hx4700, and intend to upgrade…to a phoneless Samsung Mondi)

-a desktop Windows client with notes that can have ink AND plain text (among other things) in the same note, and easily editable on Windows Mobile as well (note-taking is one of the chief uses of my old HP TC1100 Tablet PC)
