Hanvon Slate Sneak Peak at IDF 2009

We got a sneak peak of an Intel Atom powered slate device last week at IDF 2009. The multi-touch Hanvon slate felt pretty solid thanks to its Aluminum shell. There weren’t any specs or detailed descriptions of the device at the show, but I was told it’d be available in China in Q4. There’s no word if it’ll be available elsewhere soon.

What is the size of the screen 7″, 8.9″ or 10 inches?

“There’s no word if it’ll be available elsewhere soon.”

If Hanvon can get Distributors in Europe and North America this Slate would sell well.

I believe this is an 8.9″ display.

Were you able to handle the device? If so, what were the physical features(ports, slots, approx weight etc)

  4. It weighed about 2 lbs., had a pair of USB ports, audio in/out and an empty slot. The empty slot will probably become an SD card slot.

Thanks for the quick reply. Do you have any idea whether or not this can be used as a graphics tablet? (sensitive to varying levels of pressure)
