Video of Inking on HP tm2

Warner Crocker —  01/11/2010

In a comment to a post on jkOnTheRun Shogmaster apparently got some hands on time with the HP tm2 and tried out some inking. The video is embedded below. As I watch it, though it looks like his hand is away from the screen, not resting on it, so we’re still looking for info on on that kind of Inking experience.

By the way, there’s much wisdom to the post that prompted this comment thread.

  1. Yeah, I didn’t put it into slate mode so I couldn’t rest the palm on the screen.

While I don’t have a video, I did EMR/capacitive switch test on a T4410, and it seemed like you had to have the pen tip almost half an inch away for the capacitive to kick in.

Also, I noticed that only using my finger to ink, my palm did not produce vectoring. It seems like the capacitive part is designed to reject anything bigger than a finger.

  2. I found this while looking around for new news.

Looks like the designers are resting their arms on the screens with no issues. :)

  3. Boo – object embed didn’t work.
