We’ve been interested in seeing the Hanvon Tablet lineup for some time and it looks like we might be getting closer. Hanvon has just announced its multi-touch Tablet which promises both multi-touch and pen and ink. They are calling it the Touchpad.

The keyboardless Tablet has a 10.1 inch screen with a resolution of 1024×768 and is running Windows 7. The model talked about here is the BC10C, which is not the model that promises a better Inking experience. That’s the BA10E, which we’ll have to wait some more to hear about.

jkkmobile has been working with the BC10C for some time and has some interesting video on the device.

Below is the press release.

I’m also looking forward to this 130 Megapixel camera ;)

This thing is also going to cost an arm and a leg. And as much people don’t want to admit it, the processor is going to be the bottleneck for this OS of choice. Performance matters.

Dont get your hopes up about have both multi-touch and pen support on the same device. At CeBit they clearly state that it was either. Sadly though, would have been nice.

Good post Warner. The BA10E looks very promising and I am very exited about that one. Even more than with the iPad. I would still have an iPad for content but this one helps for what I do for living. I am curious though what type of touch system they are going to implement (like the Lenovo or something like the Dell XT2) but as long as it works I am happy. The other concern as you know is if its going to get at least 3 hours of wireless productivity time. 5 would be great but maybe too much to ask if its running a full OS and the tablet is slim and light.

Still no word on availability :( It is getting closer, but it’s not 100% clear yet :(

I really would like this instead of my Asus R2H. I also thought of an Asus T101MT, but this one seems more sleek.

I think even my Asus R2H with a Intel Mobile 900 Mhz processor is running Windows 7 Ultimate reasonable. Anyone know how it will be when I compare the two?

The mentioned typo is indeed a typo. It really has a 1024×600 screen.
