Google Offers Free WiFi for the Holidays on AirTran, Delta, and Virgin American

So, if you’re getting ready for some air travel for the holidays and not looking forward to paying extra baggage fees, being frisked or X-rayed at security checkpoints, agonizing whether or not your new MB Air or iPad have to come out of the bag to be screened, then maybe Google as a small tonic for you.

Teaming up with AirTran, Delta, and Virgin American airlines, the Google Chrome team is announcing that it will be providing free WiFi via GoGo Inflight WiFi on those airlines for us domestic flights between November 20, 2010 and January 2, 2011. Google has done this before with Virgin American and airports, but Delta and AirTran are new partners. This is a Google Chrome promotion and obviously Google is hoping to pick up some new users for that browser, but I believe you can use whatever browser you want.
