T-Mobile Announces New webConnect Mobile Broadband Data Plans
As we had previously reported, T-Mobile has gone ahead and taken the wraps off of the carrier’s new webConnect mobile broadband data packages, which will be compatible with USB modems, tablets, and mobile broadband routers like the MiFi when those devices launch.
Pricing seems to be the same as the rumored leaks from the past, except that the highest plan has increased by a few dollars. The maximum data plan, which offers 10 GB data per month with unlimited T-Mobile HotSpot is now priced at $85 per month. Go away the 10 GB in that month, and your speed will be throttled down to a slower connection speed, but there is no overages here.
There’s also a 5 GB plan with unlimited T-Mobile HotSpot for $50 and no overages; like the 10 GB plan, you’ll have your speeds throttled to a slower connection speed if you go over 5 GB of data transfers in any given month. A metered 200 MB connection plan with unlimited hotspot access is also availsble for $30. Unlike the other two more expensive plans, the $30 metered plan will have overage fees of $0.10 per megabyte over the 200 MB per month.
Also, if you have a voice account via T-Mobile, the carrier will give you a 20% monthly discount off of your webConnect mobile broadband data account.
