In a tweet, T-Mobile USA has confirmed the availability and pricing of its LG-made G-Slate, which runs the Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system on an 8.9-inch display utilizing NVIDIA’s dual-core Tegra 2 mobile processor.
According to T-Mobile, the G-Slate will be released on April 20th with a price tag of $529.99.
Unlike the 7-inch form factor like Samsung’s initial Galaxy Tab release and the BlackBerry PlayBook and the 10-inch form factor dominated by the Xoom and iPad, the LG G-Slate sits in between. The device offers more screen real estate than 7-inch tablets while offering still more portability than larger 10-inch slates.
