BlackBerry PlayBook Review: A Short Video

Xavier Lanier —  04/21/2011

Here’s a quick video look at the BlackBerry PlayBook. The web browser baked into the PlayBook is pretty nice and responsive. The $499 BlackBerry tablet just went on sale and RIM sent one over for review.

In this video you can see that the PlayBook does indeed display GottaBeMobile.com very well. If I scroll super quickly, which is not normal use, then blank tiles do show up for a couple of seconds before the page renders properly. Most users won’t notice this a bit.

I can’t get over how good the PlayBook’s display looks. I’ll be posting a longer video review later today and try and show that off. You can read more about my first impressions of the BlackBerry Play book here.

  1. I am also really liking the BB PB hardware. Bluetooth Keyboard and Mouse works great on the PB. I did a quick video. http://www.pocketables.net/2011/04/using-blackberry-playbook-with-bluetooth-keyboard-and-mouse.html

  2. I bought one today, more than two months after this article and still no
email application available. I’m pretty disappointed, after all that’s
what made RIM what they are.
