New 7-Inch Galaxy Tab with High-Res Display Could Arrive in September
It looks like Samsung might have another tablet device on the way this year as a report claims that Samsung will soon start to produce a 7-inch Super AMOLED display that will have a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. We had heard that Sammy might be planning a refresh of its 7-inch Galaxy Tab and this high-resolution display might just be one of the pieces of the device that apparently might launch at some point in September.
The new Samsung 7-inch Galaxy Tab is supposedly going to be rocking a new dual-core 1.2 GHz Exynos processor, 1 GB RAM and 16 GB of internal memory. There could also be a memory card slot on board as well. And as it seems, it will also employ a large, high-resolution display.
With the new processor, a large amount of RAM and a beautiful display, you would think that Samsung would have to be considering Android 3.2 Honeycomb in order to do battle with devices like Huawei’s 7-inch MediaPad tablet which will be released with Google’s latest tablet-optimized software.
It’s also very possible that it might arrive with Android 2.3 Gingerbread in order to do battle with the HTC Flyer but we shudder at the thought.

Why is the resolution 4:3? This makes no sense.
