Apple Closes Online Store to Prepare for iPhone 4S Pre-Orders

Apple’s online store is currently down and closed, with a sticky saying that they’ll be back up shortly. The store is closed now just minutes in advanced of the iPhone 4S pre-order start time at midnight Pacific Time. Who’s banging on the virtual doors of the Apple web store to try to get in queue for iPhone 4S pre-orders from AT&T, Sprint, or Verizon?

    I’m hitting refresh and opening new browser windows – nothing yet – keeps getting server erros and the postie……frustrating!
