AT&T Adding 6 New 4G LTE Markets on November 20th
With Verizon rapidly expanding its next-generation 4G LTE network, carriers like AT&T are going to have to play catch up. And on November 20th, AT&T’s 4G LTE network is going to be taking another step in the right direction as the carrier has announced that it’s going to be expanding to 6 new markets later on this month on November 20th.
While we had heard that New York City would be coming soon, it’s not going to be a part of the next batch of cities so if you’re in NYC and have been waiting to get an HTC Jetstream, HTC Vivid or Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket, you’re just going to have to wait.
So, who’s getting it?
Here is the rundown. New markets are in bold:
- Athens, Ga.
- Atlanta
- Baltimore
- Boston
- Charlotte
- Chicago
- Dallas-Fort Worth
- Houston
- Indianapolis
- Kansas City
- Las Vegas
- Oklahoma City
- San Antonio
- San Juan, Puerto Rico
- Washington, D.C.
By the end of 2011, AT&T hopes to have its network cover over 70 million customers.
