Verizon Galaxy Nexus Pre-Orders to Start November 29th?

You’ll want to chalk this one up on the rumor board but it appears that ComputerWorld has learned that Verizon is seemingly planning on taking pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus starting tomorrow, November 29th, with a release scheduled for December 8th. Remember, December 8th is the date that we previously heard would be the day that Big Red would finally unleash its Nexus.

The new information comes in the form of a statement from a Verizon Wireless customer service rep who reached out to a customer and apparently confirmed both the pre-order date and release date of the device.

So, yes, we still have nothing in terms of an official statement from Verizon but it appears that we’re close.

Would we be shocked to see tomorrow pass without an announcement?

Nope.

Nope.

That probably about sums up how you’re feeling about the Galaxy Nexus at this point.

The VZW rep I communicated with today said they didn’t have a date yet.  But then again, I’m sure he was just towing the party line and saying what he has been told to say.  I’ve also heard that the pre-order date is Dec 5th with the release date being Dec 8th.  I just hope Dec 8th continues to ring true.

I would just be happy if we got the phone in our hands sometime this year!! Verizon needs to get with the program and get this phone out to their eager customers ASAP. They’ve already missed the two biggest potential marketing days for this phone: Black Friday and Cyber Monday. I’m just ready for some Galaxy Nexus loving. XD

Funny how everyone keeps saying Verizon has missed black friday… or cyber monday… or whatever.  BUT, they can read these blogs and see the interest, and rest assured that whenever they decide to release it, there will be a million eager beavers lined up to get one. They aren’t worried about you or me, its the almighty dollar they are interested in.  AND, they know its gonna be a good Christmas for them.
