Nokia and T-Mobile Launching Windows Phone on December 14th?

Nokia and T-Mobile have begun sending out invites to an event taking place on December 14th and while the companies could be announcing just about anything, our bet is on the announcement having something to do with Microsoft’s Windows Phone platform which could mean that T-Mobile could be the first U.S. carrier to play host to a Nokia Windows Phone.

There are no hints given within the invitation, it only mentions a venue, a time and that there will be live music. Nothing more beyond that.

And while it’s obviously still a mystery, smart money would be on Nokia and T-Mobile announcing a Lumia device, possibly the Lumia 710.

Nokia and T-Mobile

This would be a fantastic coup for T-Mobile USA, a company that has been mired in an AT&T merger seemingly gone bad and a customer base that is leaving in droves. Of course, it’s also possible that this has nothing to do with Windows Phone at all and that it’s something else entirely.

We’ll just have to wait until the 14th to find out.
