Lumia 710, 800 to Debut in China with Windows Phone 7 Tango?

A new report claims that Nokia’s new Windows Phone smartphones will debut in China soon with the Tango version of Microsoft’s mobile operating system. Windows Phone 7 Tango will be a newer version of the Windows Phone platform than the Windows Phone 7 Mango OS that the Lumia 710 and Lumia 800 both debuted with outside of China, and it is claimed that both handsets will be making their way to China come this April.

The tipster claims that the devices will be announced in March by Nokia. A potential venue for a Nokia announcement would be later this month at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.

It’s unclear if the recently announced Lumia 900, a larger Windows Phone device with 4G LTE network connectivity for AT&T’s network will also be making its way to China as well.

Windows Phone 7 Tango was originally thought to be built by Microsoft to help manufacturers like Nokia target the entry level smartphone market, but recent leaks and insights into the new OS build suggest that Tango will also come with new features that will help add value to more feature-rich premium smartphones as well, such as support for Skype video calling and potentially even Google Plus social network integration.

Microsoft had built Windows Phone 7 with the effort of unifying communications. As such, in addition to email support for a variety of email services and account, Windows Phone 7 comes with Facebook and Twitter support out of the box without requiring users to install any additional software or apps.
