So if your item sells to an international buyer, how do you determine the shipping costs? I’m assuming international shipping isn’t free. In the past, I’ve shipped small boxes internationally for a small fortune.

Full disclosure, I work for http://www.USAMail1.com, an
international mail and package forwarding company that provides people outside
the US access to the US consumer and business markets.

International carriers like UPS, DHL, FedEx charge for international
shipments by the dimensional weight of the box instead of the real weight. See
    here for an explanation http://www.usamail1.com/faq.php#12

So the best thing for you to do is take the dimensions of
the box you will use to ship the iPad & then use our shipping rate calculator
    http://www.usamail1.com/shipping_calculator.php
to figure out your cost to ship. USAMAil1 can offer you cheaper rates than you
can get yourself because of the volume we do with the carriers.Hope this helps. You can always contact us for more help.
