Today Apple announced the iPhone 5 which will start at $199 and will be released, as expected on September 21st after a pre-order that will start on September 14th.
As was expected, the iPhone 5 will come with the same storage and pricing options as previous iPhones, even with the addition of 4G LTE and the new 4-inch display. The 16GB iPhone 5 will start at the normal $199.99 price point and the device will continue on with a $299.99 price tag for the 32GB model and $399.99 for the 64GB iPhone 5. All of those prices will require a new two year contract.
The iPhone 5 release date is set for September 21st.
Apple also announced both a pre-order date and a release date for the iPhone 5.

Pre-orders for the iPhone 5 will start on September 14th which is this Friday. Pre-orders will be available through Apple and presumably through AT&T, Sprint and Verizon which will be the carries that host it on their 4G LTE networks.
Third party retailers like Best Buy may also announce pre-orders as well.
As for the release date, Apple confirmed September 21st as the iPhone 5 release date, the same date that a source told Gotta Be Mobile would be the official iPhone 5 release date.
The United States will be one of the the first regions in the world to see the iPhone 5 launch and it will be joined by other regions including:
- Canada
- UK
- France,
- Germany
- Australia
- Japan
- Hong Kong
- Singapore
Then, on September 28th, several other countries will see the iPhone 5 launch. Those include:
