iPhone 6 Concept Comes to Life from iOS 7 Features

Published

on

A new iPhone 6 concept pairs a larger display with new features from iOS 7 to show what Apple’s next totally new iPhone design could look like.

The iPhone 6 will likely come with an iOS 7 replacement, but if Apple plans to make this the foundation of iOS for years to come, we could see new hardware designs incorporate parts of iOS 7 like the hidden gestures.

This is the first iPhone 6 concept to arrive with the revamped iOS 7 on board and like many iPhone 6 concepts we get a look at a new display, new home button and various other improvements.

Some of these improvements come from talk of an iPhone 6 prototype while others clearly draw inspiration from the iOS 7 beta that is in the hands of developers and will arrive this fall.

ADR-Studio delivers the iPhone 6 concept below that mixes together a blend of rumors and iOS 7 into a beautiful looking iPhone. The creators give this concept the tagline, “The Sign of Design. With You in mind.”

iPhone 6 Design & Display

ADR-Studio’s iPhone 6 concept offers a stunning look for the iPhone 6 that keeps the chamfered edge of the iPhone 5, but pairs it with a larger 4.3-inch edge-to-edge display that doesn’t appear to increase the overall size of the iPhone.

This iPhone 6 concept envisions a larger display and a higher-resolution which the creator calls Retina 2. Recent rumors claim Apple could deliver a higher resolution Retina Display on the iPhone 5S, which would help with a transition to a bigger screen on the iPhone 6, but without any further corroborating leaks, this may be something we wait for on the iPhone 6.

From a design standpoint this concept ditches the glass portions on the back of the iPhone 5, but retains the overall look of the device. This new look is especially sharp on the white iPhone 6.

This iPhone 6 concept also includes some specs, whipped up by the creator, including a probable Apple A7 processor and an improbable 18 MP camera.

iPhone 6 Home Button

Apple rumors point to a new home button experience on the iPhone 5S or iPhone 6, and this iPhone 6 concept ditches the physical home button in favor of a touchpad-like experience. This iPhone 6 home button lets users tap on left and right buttons which the creator claims will offer more control.

In the iPhone 6 concept above we see a fingerprint sensor built-in to a new home button.

The iPhone 6 concept also include a fingerprint sensor built-in to the Apple logo at the bottom of the device, which secures information and accompanies a new Passbook app. Apple purchased AuthenTec in 2012, a mobile security firm with experience in embedding fingerprint reading technology in mobile devices, leading many to assume that Apple will add this to the iPhone 5S or iPhone 6.

While iOS 7 will arrive this fall, it will likely come on an iPhone 5S, rather than an iPhone 6. The iPhone 6 is reportedly due in 2014, according to several analysts citing supply chain sources. The iPhone 6 is likely to be the next iPhone with a new design, and could be the next iPhone Apple launches with a larger display.

Why does it always seem Apple is playing catch-up with its iPhone…a bigger screen, really…next year. Wow, with kiddie colored icons. I see Samsung having another year of slamming the iPhone in its commercials.

Samsung and others had larger screen for quite a while, but their screen resolution sucked until those’re released lately: GS4, HTC One. It’s not hard for Apple to throw in a larger display but will it be the best user experience? I know most iPhone owners are girls and they don’t want a giant phone. I personally like something like 4.5″ but in the same chassis as iPhone 5.

You’re kidding me.. And you’re saying apple doesn’t do this. Obviously you haven’t seen the commercials that apple does (iPhone, macs, ipad…)

Ive never seen an apple commercial that makes negative remarks about the competition… Apple ignores competitors and instead, runs circles around them. Wow… Droids have a bigger screen and touch to share… The actual phone is buggy as hell and anti-user friendly. Apple any day.

May buy an iPhone if it has a larger screen. Apple sells a nice product but presently a 4″ screen just isn’t enough.

I just returned my galaxy s4 and got an iPhone 5…Apple’s IOS is just better…smoother and intuitive…this is a prime example of why hardware doesn’t mean $&!T without a quality script. GS4 has a bunch of Gimmick features…I turned my TV on with it because it could do it..after doing it a few times I realized it isn’t practical when you have a TV remote. That’s one example of all the new bs on that buggy new phone with a pretty new quad core processor.

If only Apple come with bigger screen and better resolution, but that would hurt their margin, no?

At 326ppi you can’t tell the difference, bigger screen? Some might agree some might prefer the user experience…like the convenience of being able to use your phone with one hand…

If iphone goes 5″-5.5″ I may turn around and go back. And also they (apple group) should some how make their screens a lot stronger, current products tend to have their screens crack or broken.
Iphone to me is better built, software and hardware wise. And they look more valuable too.

By the way I am currently using galaxy note 2 and sony experia z.
The note 2 has 5.5″ screen and lte radio network. I like and used to the screen side and the speed. But some how it does look cheap.
On the other hand the sony experia z looks lovely dust and water resistant. But it’s 5″screen seems to be much smaller because the home, menu and return keys using the screen space. And for the international phone only runs on 3g radio, just can’t get everything in one package can we. But it is still my lovely phone for steam bath and bubbles bath.
