Google Sells Out of 8 GB White Nexus 4

Published

It appears that Google’s marketing of the white version of the Nexus 4 as a limited edition is truly just that–limited. The Google Play Store is now listing the 8 GB variant of the white Nexus 4 flagship phone as being sold out, though the black models are still available as is the 16 GB white model of the same phone.

The phone, though often rumored in the past, made a late debut and was shipping with a free matching bumper case. The Nexus 4’s low price and the technology it packed help to make the phone a standout for consumers and developers alike who may not want to sign a contract. With a $299 price tag, the Nexus 4 competes readily with other flagship phones despite lacking 4G LTE support.

Google had said from inception that the white model is a limited edition model, and given that the 8 GB model is no longer up for sale it appears that LG did have a limited run making this model. It’s unclear how much more inventory Google has of the larger 16 GB white model so users who want the white look should act sooner than later.

Despite being a white phone, the Nexus 4 shares the front black bezels of its black sibling as only the back side of the white Nexus 4 comes in the lighter hue.

The 16 GB model is slightly more expensive and retails for $349 on Google Play.
