Windows Phone Offers App Deals That Make Even iPhone Users Jealous

Sure, Windows Phone wasn’t the first platform to reach 1 billion apps like Apple’s iOS, however that isn’t stopping Microsoft from celebrating the holiday season with a 50% mark down on apps even iOS users would love to get their hands on for cheap.

Starting today, Windows Phone users can pick up 12 different apps that have all been heavily discounted as a part of Microsoft’s 12 Deals of Red Stripe promotion.

The deals are especially great for anyone looking to boost their Gamerscore. The enormously popular Modern Combat 4 is on sale for just $2.99. It’s this game that users should download if they’re looking for a first-person shooter experience like the ones available to them on video game consoles in their living room. Rayman Jungle Run and Gravity Guy 2 are also included in the deal and cost users just $.99. Users can pick up Bejeweled LIVE for $1.99 too. To be clear, the base price for each of these titles is slightly higher because they are Xbox LIVE enabled games.

There are  a few independently developed games to choose from as well. They include Ruzzle for $1.49, Dr. Pickaxe for $.99, Sunny Hillride for $.99 and Sparke 2 for $1.29. Though Ruzzle is the only high-profile title in the mix, each are highly rated in the Windows Phone Store and offer a unique take on different mobile gaming genres for Windows Phone users.

Microsoft hasn’t forgotten users who aren’t into mobile games either. The deal includes random tool app Jack of Tools for $.99, and Package Tracker for $.99. Of the apps available in the deal, the most important app to users will be Runtastic Pro, the Windows Phone variant of the popular companion application for users who keep in shape by running. It’s just $1.99.

Finally, Microsoft has included Cocktail Flow in the deal for $.99. Long-time Microsoft users will recognize the application as one of the first to properly show off the capabilities of Windows Phone.
