The new Incipio Focal Camera Case is adds physical zoom, shutter and a customizable shortcut that Incipio claims will deliver a better camera experience on the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5.
This case includes a Bluetooth LE connection which is how the buttons connect and communicate with the iPhone and the case’s battery should last 400 hours.
While the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5 allow users to take photos with the volume down button as a shutter, the placement is far from ideal. The Focal Camera Case relocates the shutter and zoom buttons to the upper right, like on a traditional camera. This makes it easier to take photos one-handed without blocking the flash or putting a finger near the camera.
Users can download and install the inCAMERA App to use with the Focal Camera Case for the iPhone 5s, which is necessary to communicate with the shortcut key. The app is a free add-on available in the App Store.
iPhone camera accessories are at CES 2014 in force with the Olloclip Macro-3-in-1 lens and others on the show floor and in evening events, cashing on the popularity of using the iPhone as a camera and the quality of photos the iPhone 5s is capable of producing.
The Focal Camera Case for iPhone 5s and iPhone 5 is made of brushed aluminum and a vegan leather no slip grip on the edge. This case will arrive in a variety of colors later this month for $79.95.
