As June drags on new iPhone 6 rumors start to focus in on the design, features and alleged part leaks showing what could be the back of the new iPhone.

During the last several weeks we gained a better view of the fall’s potential release cycles, including chatter that Samsung is planning a beefed up Galaxy S5 with an incredible new display to arrive alongside the Galaxy Note 4 as a direct set of competitors against a 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhone 6 models. Even HTC joins in with a new HTC One rumored to arrive in early 2015 to keep up the pace.

iPhone 6 Rumors
As expected we have a new iPhone 6 release date rumor this week as well as new photos that allegedly show the design and a collection of possible iPhone 6 features.
iPhone 6 Release Date Rumored
According to Brian White of Cantor Fitzgerald the iPhone 6 release date is set for September for the 4.7-inch model and his sources tell him that the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 release date is in October, a jump up from his previous estimates. This makes sense given a separate report that Apple will announce the iWatch in October.

iPhone 6 Design & Size
The week started out with another alleged iPhone 6 back leak, that shows off the possible design for the 4.7-inch iPhone 6. Similar to the leak from earlier this month, we see curved edges, rounded corners and a thin overall design. There is a hole in the back that could play a role in helping the internal antennas communicate.
The leak comes from Nowhereelse.fr, which includes multiple photos showing the back and a side view that shows how thin the iPhone 6 may be, if this is a real part.
Alleged iPhone 6 Photos
A pop star by the name of dreamerJimmy shared a gallery of photos on Weibo, a Chinese social networking site, with him holding an alleged iPhone 6. Normally this would be less than exciting, but these photos show a device with what appears to be a screen in place instead of just a blank piece of plastic.
It’s also worth noting that the this pop star also showed off the iPhone 5c well ahead of release, so he has a way of getting his hands on unreleased Apple gear early.
Major iPhone 6 Features
- Bigger Display with Thinner Bezels
- Scratch Resistant iPhone 6
- NFC for Mobile Payments
- Faster LTE
- Wireless Charging
This is not the first time we’ve heard about bigger displays, scratch resistant coverings or NFC, but it is one of the first reports of Faster LTE. Wireless charging is a nice feature, but one Apple has yet to build in to an iPhone and reports are not conclusive as to an iPhone 6 with wireless charging.
iPhone 6 vs iPhone 5s Size
We expect to see a 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and a 5.5-inch iPhone 6, but just how big will they be compared to the iPhone 5s? A new photo of iPhone 6 cases manufactured in China shows what the size difference could look like.
The photo above shows an iPhone 5s, an iPhone 6 with a 4.7-inch display and an iPhone 6 with a 5.5-inch display next to each other. Like many of the leaks, these are designed based on rumors and mockups and are not direct from Apple. It is impossible to verify that these show the real size, but it is a plausible representation of how big a 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhone 6 may be.
