Nexus 6 Release Continues With More Pre-Orders

Google’s brand new Nexus 6 smartphone is all set to finally be released starting this week with Sprint and AT&T, then coming soon to T-Mobile, Sprint and Verizon Wireless. While the release has been a mystery and pre-orders hard to come by, it’s now readily available from a few sources.

Last week pre-orders opened up again and quickly sold out on the Google Play Store, and even Motorola started offering pre-orders, but those were all for the US only. The Nexus 6 actually went up for pre-order back on October 29th from the Google Play Store, and sold out in less than 2-3 minutes by our count. Many were frustrated with the situation, but at least they had a chance. Today though, it’s back on the Google Play Store,, and even from AT&T.

Nexus 6 release date details for anywhere outside of the US have been a complete mystery, with nothing more than a few rumors and one UK retailer promising pre-orders to open around November 17th. Things are still a bit confusing, but those in the US will want to read on for more details.

As we mentioned earlier this week and above, Google has promised to deliver more stock of the Nexus 6 for those interested in pre-ordering each Wednesday. As expected, the device is now available (but in and out of stock each minute) on the Google Play Store, and Motorola received more as well.

It appears that both will be accepting more pre-orders each Wednesday until things calm down, whenever that may be. Yesterday AT&T announced pre-orders would go live today, and as expected, you can now pre-order the Nexus 6 for $249 with a 2-year contract from AT&T.

T-Mobile was originally slated to be the first carrier offering Google’s latest Nexus 6, but yesterday they cancelled the November 12th release date and pushed it back one week to next Wednesday. Meaning that right now your best bet is from the Google Play Store, AT&T, or Sprint starting on November 14th.

AT&T is offering the Nexus 6 for $249 with a new 2-year contract, but we’ve been hearing its pre-order page has already been removed as well. It’s showing up here for us, available now, with AT&T promising the Nexus 6 will ship by November 18th for buyers. That’s an “estimated” ship date, mind you.

Users can also choose to spend $0 down and get the Nexus 6 on AT&T Next for as low as $22.77 for 24 months, or a little more on the AT&T Nexus 18 month plans, rather than signing a 2-year agreement.

As it stands right now it appears as if four major US carriers will all offer the Nexus 6 before the end of the month, with US Cellular and Verizon being the only two that have yet to announce details. A few reports suggest December may be the Verizon Nexus 6 release date, but that’s yet to be confirmed. We’ll be on the lookout for more carrier details, plans, pricing and release dates, and update once we know more.

Get the Nexus 6 now from Motorola, Google Play, or AT&T while supplies last.
