Nexus 9 LTE Release Date Details Arrive

After months of waiting through rumors, news, and pre-orders, the new Nexus 6 smartphone is now available from three major carriers in the US, with the newest option being from T-Mobile. That isn’t all though, as today T-Mobile confirmed the Nexus 9 4G LTE release date.

The Nexus 9 is Google’s latest Android tablet and the first device to run the new Android 5.0 Lollipop announced alongside the Nexus 6, and Nexus Player in mid October, and now more details regarding the release are finally starting to come to light. It was initially released on November 3rd, but only the WiFi model is available.

Today T-Mobile announced the Nexus 9 4G LTE will be coming to T-Mobiles stores in early December, and also revealed pricing for those interested. We’ve been waiting for more news regarding the Sand (Gold) color option and the 4G LTE Nexus 9, and today it finally arrived for at least one carrier.

Since first being announced on October 15th, Google has been very quiet regarding both its new smartphone and tablet. The Nexus 9 was released on the 3rd, as mentioned above, but Google nor carriers have shared when buyers can expect to get the 4G LTE model. Many opted to pass on the WiFi version in favor of the 32GB LTE model, and it will finally be available to buyers in the coming weeks.

According to T-Mobile they’ll be among one of the first carriers to offer the 4G LTE Nexus 9, and to make things even better they’ll be offering it for $0 down, and allowing buyers to get it for $24.99 a month for 24 months. Of course you can still buy it outright, which we’re hearing will be $599.

Again, this is the first news we’ve heard regarding any type of release date for the 4G LTE Nexus 9, as no other carrier has formally announced plans, nor has Google. The initial launch it was simply listed as coming later this year, and now we have a rough estimate on when it will arrive.

The 4G LTE Nexus 9 is still listed as “coming soon” from the Google Play Store, as is the new Sand color option, and we’ve heard a few reports that Google will open up orders later this month for those variants. Meaning buyers could get it ahead of the T-Mobile release, by buying it directly from the Google Play Store.

At this point the impressive new 8.9-inch Tegra K1 tablet running Android 5.0 Lollipop on that brilliant 2048 x 1538 HD display is only available in the WiFi model, but we should be learning and hearing more soon regarding LTE variants and more color options in the coming weeks or days.
