With the Samsung Galaxy S5 on the way, the Galaxy S4 leaves this list for the time being. In its place, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, a device that is arguably better than the Galaxy S4 thanks to a more premium design, more horsepower and perhaps, a longer shelf life.

Samsung's Galaxy Note 3 is a powerful smartphone. It comes equipped with a massive 1080p display, Snapdragon 800 processor, a faux leather design that we like a little more than the Galaxy S4's basic plastic, and it should outlast the Galaxy S4 in terms of software support.

We also can't forget its S Pen stylus that comes bundled with the device and allows users to do more than just write and draw on the display.
