Apple Keyboard and Magic Mouse 2

Over the last month we've seen FCC documentation for two new Apple accessories that are a welcome addition to the lineup.

The Magic Mouse 2 is an updated version of Apple's Bluetooth Magic Mouse that appeared on the FCC, as discovered by 9to5Mac. The FCC sketches don't shed much light on any upgraded looks, but the Magic Mouse 2 will include Bluetooth 4.2, which is more power efficient. It also looks like it will use a built-in battery instead of AA batteries.

The new Apple Keyboard appeared at the FCC as well with a Bluetooth 4.2 upgrade and what may be a power switch on the top. This could play into use of the new Apple wireless keyboard with the iPad, which Apple is adding better support for in iOS 9. Earlier leaks showed a new Apple Keyboard with backlit keys.

There is a small chance that Apple will delay this announcement or the release until October when it is more likely that new Macs will arrive, but with leaks and the appearance on the FCC there is a chance that Apple will deliver a $69 keyboard and $69 Magic Mouse 2 in September.
