Anker Fast Car Charger
Anker is one of our favorite brands when it comes to accessories. They always have good quality stuff. Their Quick Charge 3.0 car charger is one of the smallest available, and completely future proof for any current or upcoming devices. It features a regular USB Port, which will work with any cable you have. Meaning just swap cables and go from USB Type-C to micro and back. However, you'll need an extra cables or use what came in the box.
This is small, cheap, and one of the fastest chargers around. I have two of them.

Its not possible to have a charger which fits both USB-C and Quick Charge standards as both have conflicting standards – also the AUKEY USB-C wire sold on amazon does not meet correct USB-C standards – beware this product may not be good for your phone

What about Elephone car chargers? At Geekbuying they’re really cheap.

You state that the Tronsmart car charger will charge the Pixel at the fastest possible speed, but that is not correct. Per the Google Doc shared by Benson and Nathan, it does not charge the Pixel at the full 18W speed, as it only supports 5V/3A, and to charge the Pixel at full speed it would need to be able to charge at 9V/2A. That is one of the reasons they rated this charger a +1 on a scale of -3 to +3.

So as of 2016-12-24, there are no fully approved 12volt car chargers. That’s disturbing.
