You can never have too many laptop chargers. I always have two chargers for my MacBooks so that I don't have to keep taking it out of my office whenever I travel. I always have one in my bag ready to go.

I'd recommend doing this with your 12-inch MacBook as well, making a spare 29W charger a great MacBook accessory to have.

Of course the charger and the USB-C cable are sold separately, which is a total of $80. That's not terrible compared to normal MagSafe chargers, but it's the convenience you're paying for.
