John Hill of Allegiance Technology Partners just sent me a video demoing Field2Base, a end-to-end package for forms design, data collection, and communications for companies using Tablet PCs. Below is a snippet from their website, and here is a link to a video demonstrating the application. (9 mb)
I’ve been following Field2Base for over a year now when I met Ed Holloway, their CTO, at the Microsoft Windows Anywhere conference last year. They have a very compelling solution for forms design and communications in their Forms2Base package and their total solution package, Field2Base.

Field2Base is the flagship product, running on Tablet PCs. Field2Base captures many types of information through sketches, annotated CADs, annotated photos, and user supplied files, to describe a specific field situation. This field situation is described by the Tablet PC user, who, upon completion of documentation, immediately transmits the story via wireless communications to the home office and/or other individuals who need access to that information to make a quick, informed decision. This transmission of information is delivered to the recipient as an email attachment, which means no additional software or hardware is required by the recipient to receive this transmission from the field.
