Kendrick Goes Sleuthing, Discovers Missing Vista Driver

Published

on

Let’s start a pool. The question of the pool will be: When will we stop seeing posts from bloggers and forum members looking for drivers for hardware marked Vista Capable? I’ve been chronicling my frustration and my successes with Asus here in a series of posts. James Kendrick has been doing the same on jkOnTheRun regarding drivers for the Fujitsu P1610. Yesterday he tracked down a missing audio driver on Fujitsu’s Singapore site. I’m sure companies are having loads of fun attempting to allocate resources on this issue, as they are most assuredly moving on to their next hardware entries at the same time, but it certainly is frustrating for the average user, and as I’ve said before, a bit misleading.

So, who wants to pick the first date in the pool? Come back and let us know your thoughts after we get comments turned back on or leave your thoughts in this forum thread.
