Microsoft Releases HotFix for Vista SD Card Issues

If you are having a specific issue using an SD card with Windows Vista and your hardware, Microsoft has released a hotfix that may or may not solve your issues. This is not a “go and download it now” hotfix. You have to call into Microsoft tech support to get the hotfix. Otherwise, Microsoft is saying wait for SP1 of Vista. Microsoft has listed a very specific list of the problems that this hotfix attempts to solve on this page.
