Tablet PCs Roll Out With Ambulances

Published

This only makes sense to me. In Great Britain, Computer Sciences Corporation and Medusa Medical Technologies are equipping ambulances with Tablet PCs with Medusa’s Siren electronic patient-care reporting and data-management software. The rugged Tablet PCs ride in a docking station and are undocked to take down patient info. When they ambulance arrives at the ER, the Tablet PC uploads the info to the hospital’s system. Apparently these are touch screen Tablet PCs according to the article.

My brother-in-law is a firefighter and EMS professional in Virginia and his department has recently been equipped with a similar system and we are hoping one day to do an InkShow on this if we can get permission to do so.
