How to Add OneNote to Start Menu Search Results

Posted by | 07/06/2007 | 0 Comments

Do you use the Windows Desktop Search from the Start Menu in Vista? Wondering how to get OneNote data into those results? Here’s a quick tip on how to make that happen courtesy of Daniel Escapa.

  1. Tap on the Task Bar and choose Properties.
  2. Then select the Start Menu and then Customize.
  3. Scroll down to find the Search section and select Search Entire Index.

Voila. Apparently the option to search the entire index isn’t turned on by default and needs to be if you want info you’ve included in OneNote 2007 to show up. Good to know.
