Fully Rugged Tablet PCs with iWater GIS-Based Software System

v100_01 GETAC, Inc is showing off a Tablet PC during the Water Environment Federation Technical Exhibition and Conference (WEFTEC) at the San Diego Convention Center.  This is the same rugged V100 that we have seen on the site in the past, but now it’s featuring a program called iWater infraMap GIS software program.  This solution is something that appeals to me, being a GIS user during the day, because it offers a nice rugged Tablet PC that isn’t afraid to do some field collecting.  There isn’t much on the software just yet on the site, but from the looks of it, I might be researching it real soon… this looks like a great solution for our field staff.

"A GETAC tablet PC loaded with iWater infraMap software is the ideal solution for municipal and private water company workers whose jobs demand a Rugged computing system that meets all their needs," said Jessica Pasch, GETAC business development manager. "The GETAC V100 and CA 27 both exceed every performance and reliability standard that workers demand from a fully Rugged computer while offering a number of optional features not available elsewhere."
