ESET Getting Ready to Roll Out a New Upgrade, and a New Upgrade Path
I have been using ESET’s NOD32 Anti-Virus program for some time now and really like it. The overhead is low, (great for mobile devices), you can configure it to work completely in the background, or if you’re a fan of of pop-ups (I’m not) have those too. And it works.
ESET is getting ready to roll out an update on November 5. In Australia, they are also experimenting with a new upgrade path. If you own another company’s anti-virus suite, you can get a free “cross-grade” license equal to the remainder of your current license up to 1 year.
I’d like to see more of this kind of upgrade marketing technique and hope it migrates to the US. I think it would help the consumer tremendously.
