WPF Supports Shape Recognition

An integral part of Windows Vista is the new Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF). One of the features of the new Vista SDK is the InkAnalysis framework, which includes automatic shape recognition. Stefan Wick’s Weblog has a small tutorial on using the shape recognition functions, including code snippets and helpful tips. Using this simple shape recognition, it would be easy to create some fun graphics programs that would be great for note-taking or as a drawing program for small children.

If you’ve ever thought about dabbling in programming for the Tablet PC, the new APIs for Vista make it pretty straightforward.
