Missing Send-To OneNote 2007 in 64-bit OS

Microsoft Office OneNote 2007 (c) MicrosoftYes, you read that right. If you are running a 64-bit versions of Windows XP or Vista, you are missing the capability to "Send To OneNote." Although this is covered fully in a Microsoft KB article, basically, the 64-bit OSs just don’t have the Microsoft Office Document Image Writer printer driver installed. Without that printer driver, you have no Sendto OneNote. This is not something that has been advertised anywhere that I’ve seen, and although Dan Escapa and the OneNote team do know about the issue and are working on a resolution, but no mention of when something may be available.

I use Send To OneNote several times a day. That feature alone has cut down my printing to less than half of what it was before. If you haven’t tried out the new OneNote 2007, do yourself a favor and download the free trial version. This is my favorite note taking and organizational software ever. Just be sure to run it in a regular 32 bit OS if you want the Send to OneNote feature to work properly.
