A Chip That Will Store 500,000 Songs?

RacetrackApparently IBM is talking about a new digital storage technology that is still quite a ways out, like 10 years. “Racetrack” memory uses the spin of an electron to store data and has a faster operation than conventional hard drives, it also doesn’t have the wear-out factor that flash drives do. It will apparently allow you to store massive amounts of data (try 500,000 songs or 3200 films) in your pocket. If it comes to be.

I’m wondering if there are 500,000 songs or 3200 films worth carrying around.
