Best Buy Offers MSI Wind For $479.99

Hector Gomez, a GBM regular, dropped us a tip for the 3-cell MSI Wind being available at Best Buy (online only) for $479.99. The Wind’s pricing upset a lot of people when MSI announced a price hike due to battery price increases with the 3-cell version selling for $499.99. The coveted 6-cell version increased to $549.99 from $499.99, but I have not seen it in stock anywhere. Due to the netbook segment’s explosion in popularity, I’ve seen one Amazon distributor selling the Wind for $600. Efforts to contact the vendor to see if this is the 3-cell or 6-cell version has been unanswered. Thanks for the tip, Hector!
