Windows 7 Within The Next Year?
Long Zheng over on I Started Something has been doing some math, getting some information together and has come up with what seems to be a plausible release for Windows 7. He has put together a timeline that says next October we’ll get a RTM and soon following the retail release. Head over and check out the info and guesswork and see if you think it could happen… I feel it’s a pretty solid guess.

Well, half of his basis is out the window. Just because Wikipedia says that WinHEC is an annual event does not mean that it is. It has just occured once per year previously. Wikipedia can never confirm anything – first rule of research.
