SPLITVIEW COMMAND System to Hit Mercedes Benz in 2009

As much as I see the convenience of adding gadgets to the cockpits of cars, it still makes me nervous given how easy it is for some drivers to be distracted. That said, this SPLITVIEW COMMAND system allows the passenger in the shot gun seat to view one thing and keep the driver only looking at a GPS.

Apparently this is headed to Mercedes Benz S-Class vehicles in 2009. The technology is based on pixel placement showing two different images side by side that are viewed differently depending on where you are sitting.
