Dual-Mode WiMAX/EVDO Modem Launches December 21

For those looking to take advantage of WiMAX in Baltimore and still use Sprint’s EVDO without having to carry around multiple cards this is probably of great interest now. Hopefully it will be in the future as Clearwire rolls out more of the WiMAX infrastructure. For $150 (after a $50 rebate and with a two year contract) you can pick up a dual-mode modem beginning December 21.

I agree. The UMPC seems to found its true form in the netbook. I think it will continue to evolve with Windows 7 touch and IN Play’s new pen technology.
The 7in UMPC has a definite market in industry and healthcare. Even the consumer realm may still be within, depending on how far data input methods and novel interfaces come along(iphone-like).
