toshiba512ssd Solid State Drives (SSD) continue to command attention and it looks like Toshiba will be looking for come at CES 2009 where they plan to show off a 512GB version to add to its lineup. Supposedly these will hit mass production in April or so. No word on price yet, but I would expect it initially to be high.

I just wish the smaller ones were cheaper. I couldn’t care less about a 512 gb SSD when a 64-128 gb SSD (one that isn’t the supposedly buggy ones) is still $500+. And, honestly, 128gb is more than enough for me, especially with a large external hard disk.
